Dai X The One Foundation
Since the birth of Dai, sustainability has been at the core of our ethos. It's no secret the fashion industry is one of the largest consumers of freshwater, with an estimated consumption of 79 billion cubic metres every year. We're trying to change that by using innovative eco-certified fabrics that minimise the impact on the environment, including water consumption.
We want to take our initiatives a step further, and have partnered with The One Foundation. Water is essential for life, and The One Foundation have already provided clean water access to 3.6 million people, however there's a further 785 million to help.
For every purchase of the REVIVE Oversized Box Top, we will be donating 10% of the profits to The One Foundation to assist in their initiatives to provide sustainable clean water, sanitation and hygiene wash solutions to those currently without. Available to shop here.

Why the REVIVE?
Our REVIVE Oversized Box Top features one of our many innovative fabrics that embodies our core principles of sustainability and our move towards a circular economy. A high-quality, recycled fabric that is produced from our sustainable mill in Italy, 65% of REVIVE is made of infinitely recyclable ECONYL yarn. This is 100% regenerated polyamide yarn that is derived from discarded pre- and post-industrial goods, such as fishing nets, carpet fluff and tulle. You can read more in depth about this fabric here or shop here.
Water Saving Designs
Revive is one of our innovative fabrics, however we an abundance more, and we are always discovering new innovations to introduce to our collection. To highlight our best water saving fibre, we introduce to you the ECO-PRINT featured in the Back To Base Blouse Black Stripe and Back To Base Dress Black Stripe.
Our ECO-PRINT fabric is made in Italy using special printing technology designed to skip resource-intensive steps in the production cycle.
Compared to a traditional printed fabric by the same mill, our ECO-PRINT stripe fabric reduces water consumption by 50% and carbon emissions by 35%. For every square-metre of ECO-PRINT, the carbon savings made is the equivalent of charging your smartphone 223 times or driving 4.3 miles.
We’re proud to say that our Italian mill (where the ECO-PRINT is made) values sustainability as much as we do. They monitor every stage of their production cycle to reduce the use of resources such as water and energy and are powered by renewable energy and solar panels. Every year, 30 million litres of water are recovered from production and reused. And as technology improves, so will these savings. We invite you to discover more here.
