Garment Care

Always check the label first and only clean as needed. 75% of the energy consumption in clothes happens during the use phase. Not only will you save resources, but your clothes will look newer for longer.

Machine Wash

We get it, you're busy and don't have time to be dry cleaning or hand washing every piece you own. That's why we designed high performing clothing for women like you, that are effortless to care for.

Use an eco-friendly or plant based detergent and always scan the label first to ensure it's good for you and the environment.

Wait until you have a full load and wash your Dai pieces on a delicate machine wash, at or below 30° with similar colours. The majority of electricity used while washing clothing is from heating the water temperature, by washing at 30°, you are saving 40% more energy than if you were to wash at 40°.

Lay flat to dry, and iron on a cool heat if needed.

Dry Cleaning

Think green before you clean. Please dry clean only as needed.

The majority of dry cleaners use a harmful chemical called Perc. The negative side effects of Perc have been documented, going back decades and it's not just nasty for the environment, but also for your health.

When dry cleaning, opt for a non-toxic and environmentally safe alternative by visiting your local green or eco dry cleaner. Be sure to ask if they use Perc, D-5 cleaners or hydrocarbons in order to avoid toxic chemicals.

Not only will you save resources, your clothes will look newer for longer.

Hand Wash

We have created high performing pieces that are effortless to care for, therefore none of the Dai collection requires hand washing. However, we've got you - keep reading if you don't have access to a washing machine or an eco friendly dry cleaner. Please note we do not recommend hand washing silk

Fill a clean sink or bucket with cold water. Add a tablespoon of eco-friendly or plant based detergent and always scan the label first to ensure it's good for you and the environment.

Spot clean your garment and swirl around the water for a few minutes. Drain the bucket/sink and refill with clean cold water and repeat the swirl step.

To avoid distorting the shape of your garment, please do not wring or twist your garment. Place on a clean towel and gently press to remove excess water.

Lay flat to dry out of direct sunlight.

Tumble Drying

Your Dai pieces are made from high performing, technical fabrics including bonded fabrics

Tumble drying reverses bonding by reheating the glue and therefore causing seams to break. Your Dai pieces are designed to be wardrobe staples to wear time and time again, so please make sure you always lay your garments flat to dry so they can live a long happy life in your wardrobe.
